This year we will begin science by studying and writing about our mock rocks. You already had the opportunity to draw, measure, and weigh your rock. Now you will use those details to accurately describe your rock in complete sentences.
You will be graded as follows:
1. Accurate details-4 points
2. Correct spelling-4 points
3. Capitalization and punctuation-4 points
4. Use of at least 2 complex sentences-4 points
Rubric:
Excellent (0 errors)-4 points
Good (1-2 errors) -3 points
Almost there (3-4 errors)- 2 points
Need to try harder (5 or more errors)-1 point
My rock is brown with little green and red spots. My rock weighs 7 ounces. My rock has a diameter of 4cm and a circumference of 12.5 cm. My rock is oval shaped.
ReplyDeleteMy rock is round and hard. My rock is mostly brown, but it also has white, green, and red spots. It weighs 5 ounces. The diameter is about 3cm and the circumference is about 9.4cm.
